i have like dozens of entries that are backlogged, which is really worrisome because I dont' remember what I did two weeks ago...I show a lot of activities on my credit card...but don't remember what I did....oh yeah so after like 10 minutes of trying to remember, I finally realized that I was partying with Ai Viet fer her B-day...

I really wonder if i'm going senile...x.x

I had an awesome thanksgiving weekend.  Thanks and much love to Viet and VD for hosting us.  It's not much, but my studio and well stocked beer fridge is ALWAYS open to you guys! hehe

I hope everyone is getting lots of rest, I've been dozing off at 9pm haha...

Project Mexico

I saw the bright leafy green house I helped paint six months ago.  The latrine had been moved, and the wooden bird that sat atop the wind indicator was nowhere in sight.  Yet, the neighborhood remained much the same.  The air was a dusty combination of rot and sewage.  The dirt road was still packed with garbage, a feeble attempt to hold the road together as drain water cut its way downhill, creating gaping ravines.

The morning air was cool, and as I began work on the house, I was filled with a sense of purpose.  I knew, with each nail I hammered in, that this structure, this work, would serve, would protect, would embrace a loving family.  Our motto: "Dios es aqui" could not have been more aptly named.  "God is here", it was the first time in a long time since I have felt the serenity of that spirit.

Even though we had less people than last time, we finished earlier, mainly because we didn't have any tiles to install this time.  The work was really fun and honestly I enjoy this kind of work more than my full time job.  Building and creating is so much more fulfilling than maintaining.

Anyway, here are some pictures, I've already posted it on facebook, but here they are again for your convenience, enjoy!

Nothing terribly interesting to report.  I've been quite busy the past few months, I've been out of town almost every weekend.

I've been hesitant to start of the  Kite Runner, primarily because it seems to be quite depressing.

I'm not doing too well on the job front, no responses from SF companies.  I'll keep trying I suppose.

Hurt my foot again running, I guess I should have let it healed more before pounding it against the cold hard pavement.

I joined a singles site and the only positive response I've gotten is from a lesbian girl in South Africa looking for a penpal.  She's actually a pretty interesting person...I didn't think they talked hella ghetto over there haha.

This above all — to thine ownself be true;
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
